A message from front-man & percussionist, Felix Riebl

The first time I ever played a show with Ollie, Ryan, Harry, Will, and Jumps, something just took off. We were young. It was chaotic and magic. The crowd danced, they lost themselves, and so did we. I remember going outside after the set, and the night sky had never looked so alive. I won’t forget the 20-year adventure we’ve been on since. It’s taken us around the world. It’s collided us with hundreds of musicians, festivals, characters, fire-born nights, places to record our songs… and it’s introduced us to you, our most amazing audience.
I’m taking this moment to pause and give my love and respect to those original departing members Ryan, Harry, Will, and Jumps, as well as our long-time manager Correne. What you’ve put in has been immense. You’re unbelievable musicians and people. It’s been a pleasure sharing this journey with you.
To those who remain – Ollie, Ross, Kieran, and the many others who’ve shared the stage with us, our crew, and to the international collective of musicians about to embark on the next chapter with us, I’m excited to create something new and beautiful together. Fans of the band, when live music returns, The Cat Empire’s going to be there to celebrate it with you.
Stay tuned. With love,
